FreePDF4 provides a free browser-based PDF editor and explanatory guides. No account or payment is required for the current editor. Features may change, and continuous availability or support is not guaranteed. We may update these terms; the date above identifies the current version.
Your documents and responsibilities
You keep your rights to the documents you use. Only edit files you own or have permission to modify. You are responsible for checking the accuracy and suitability of your edits and for following applicable law. Do not use the site to falsify documents, infringe others' rights, distribute malicious files, or interfere with the service.
Keep an original and verify the output
Edits are held in memory until you download them. Text replacement is visual, and substituted fonts or layouts may differ. Edited pages are exported as images, losing searchable text, links, interactive fields, and accessibility structure on those pages. Digital signatures and document-level features are not preserved. Do not rely on Cover as a complete redaction, sanitization, or metadata-removal solution. Keep the original and inspect the exported copy.
Availability and suitability
The tool and guides are provided as available, without a promise that every PDF will work or that outputs will be error-free. Browser memory, file structure, and device capabilities affect performance. The editor is not a substitute for professional document validation. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or protections that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Independent software and licenses
Paperkit is not affiliated with or endorsed by Adobe. Third-party libraries and fonts retain their own licenses, available from Open-source credits in the editor. These terms do not replace those licenses.
