Add and edit PDF text on your phone

Use the panel below the page to type, format, and resize a box without a floating toolbar covering your document.

Open the editor in your phone browser

Tap Open PDF and choose a file using your device's file picker. Paperkit accepts files up to 50 MB and 100 pages, but a file within those limits can still use substantial memory. For a large, image-heavy document, a computer may be more comfortable.

Choose a box, then type below the page

Tap Edit text and an outlined line, or choose Add text and tap the page. On phone-sized screens, the editing panel appears below the PDF. Enter your words in Text content. The desktop floating toolbar is hidden. The preview updates as you type.

Set font, size, and direction

Use the controls in the panel to select a font, change size and color, or set alignment. Arabic and Hebrew generally need right-to-left direction; direction and alignment are separate settings. If the keyboard takes too much space, dismiss it while formatting, then tap Text content to continue.

Resize and move the box

Drag the handles around the selected box, or enter width and height in the panel for more precise changes. Use the Move grip to move it. If the text is clipped, increase the height or use Fit text. Tap Done to close the panel and see more of the page.

Download before leaving

Tap Download PDF and save the result. If your browser does not start the download, use the Save PDF link shown after export. Open the saved file to verify your edit. Refreshing, closing the tab, or a mobile browser discarding the tab can lose unsaved work. Download important changes promptly.
